Blog Roll Amnesty Day

My, how time flies!
It's that time of year again already.
Snuck up on me, it did.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of a brilliant , selfless and enduring decision by two fellows that made a huge impact on the internet and us fellow Bloggers who had little to no traffic or readers.

I will never, forget, when Skippy The Bush Kangaroo linked to this little rant hole and put me on his blog roll, ever.

The same thrill I got when Al Weisel, AKA Jon Swift did.

Al was a prince among men.

If you check, you will notice he is still on my Blog roll to this day even though he passed away a few years ago.

It is kind of hard for me to believe that I have running my mouth here for six years next month.

Six years.

That is an eternity in Cyberspace these days and I would like to thank each and everyone, including those pesky folks who take the time to give me shit,for taking a few precious moments out of their very limited life span to stop by.

Thank you all very much.

Now it is once again, time to pay that favor forward.

This next guy, I have no idea what kind of traffic he has but he is one VERY perceptive and articulate Blogger.

I need to thank my pals Fixer and Gordon at Alternate Brain for turning me onto Montag, this guy has it going on over at The Burned Over District.


Two more and I know exactly who comes to mind, I absolutely adore these next two ladies and just for a double triple bonus, I am going to hook you up with one of my very closest fiends.

First up is Politicky Bitch.
The name alone was enough to suck me in but after reading what she has to say, I have been a fan for several years now. Swing by and tell her Busted sent ya.

Next up and not least and not last is one of my personal favorites, it's a good thing we are both married and several thousand miles apart or I would make a pass at this lady.

The Hermit is a sweet heart, I can't believe he doesn't have some wimmins beating his door down.

Patrice, on the other hand, is a hoot.
I might be a left wing zealot but I have an open mind and this lady just kicks my ass.

I swear, this lady kicks my ass when it comes to traffic. but if you want to read some good writing, she is off the charts and I know damn good and well you who come here have never heard of her.

Seriously,Brigid  writes things that will yank your heart.

Blogroll Amnesty Day

Yes, it is that time of year again when us B to Z list bloggers open our hearts and Blog rolls to the rest of Blogtopia. (Y! SCTP!).February 3rd is Blogroll Amnesty Day.
Skippy The Bush Kangaroo and John Swift initiated this tradition a few years ago when The Great Orange Satan and several other big name blogs decided to purge their Blogrolls of us pesky smaller sites and ironically called it an amnesty.
So, now the big sites all link to each other and fuck the rest of us unruly peons.

I know there is a certain slant that this supposed to take, linking to liberal Blogs, etc, etc, I have always been a fucking rebel and have always done what I want, this is my Blog.

I was away from the house most of the day today and it really frosts my nuts too.
I had planned on a massive frontal assault on the Blogosphere (y!, sctp)
to really get this blog in front of as many faces as possible.
Dammit!
As it is, I am just overwhelmed by the positive response.
Today blew the previous record for one day visits completely out of the water, I was stunned to check my stats a minute ago!
Because I was not able to be here, all of the Blogs that I added yesterday did not get up on my front page, either, like I had also planned.
I am truly sorry for that.

So, I will see about getting one or two up on the front page like I have been doing once in a while to keep refreshing peoples memories.

It is the least I can do .

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who stopped by, added me to their Blogroll, put me on their front page or, decided it was a waste of their fucking time and plan on telling everyone they meet how bad this place sucks.

What a great idea. Skippy and Jon Swift deserve a meal and a show for selflessly promoting this all weekend, actually throughout the whole year!
I Liken this Blogroll Amnesty Day to a big party with scads of people you have never met, all of them on the same side you are.

You go around meeting all these cool people and exchange business cards and pictures of your kids and make plans to meet up and party again.

How cool is that?

There are so may blogs out there that I got to go visit yesterday.

We are a creative bunch, I gotta say.
I ran into one, I have to share this, and I'm sitting there thinking, this is a strange name, so I Googled it. When I read what it meant Mountain Dew went every where! Priceless.
