Cheney

Just his name pisses me off anymore.
Now that the cowardly traitor got called on his bullshit about being a fourth branch of government,Rahm Emmanuel tried to defund his ass from the executive branch.
Very surprisingly, it was only narrowly defeated.
That has to smart, even the Republicans have turned on the Dark Lord.
BWAAAHAAAHAAA.
Suck it Cheney.

Cheney Opens A Can Of Worms

Deadeye is fuckin' losin it. He thinks he's pretty damn clever and I think he's desperate.
By royal decree and sent by carrier pigeon,Cheney now claims that the office of the Vice President is not subject to the laws of the Executive branch and he can declassify things at his own discretion

OOOOOh Kay, Lets start with the testimony of the oil execs that you don't want to see the light of day from the energy meetings, then on to returning all the salary you have been paid and ,oh yeah, how about moving your dessicated ass out of that house that the public is paying for.
What a fucktard. He is trying, once again, to avoid any kind of oversight and has effectively said that the office of the VP is a fourth branch of government. Yeah, good luck with that ya treasonous fucking bastard.
Meanwhile, subpeonas have been issued, finally, over that warrantless wiretap program that they have been stonewalling on for two years.
Things are starting to look up in the bring these fuckers to justice department.

Scooter Files His Appeal

Boot scootin' traitor Scooter Libby's lawyers filed his appeal in DC circuit court today.
Up front are a three judge panel. Judges Sentelle, Henderson and Tatelle.
They are already up to speed on this case so it will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to come to a decision. Best two out of three is enough.
I hope like hell they deny his ass but if they do the appeal process is far from over. As it stands, time ain't on ol Scooters side. Judge Walton told him to report for his orange jumpsuit within 45-60 days from his sentencing date.Time marches on.

Scooter Shuffles Closer To The Slammer

Judge Walton endured more hackery from Scooter Libby's seemingly inept legal team today before ruling that Scooter is to actually, like, GO TO JAIL.
The Wingers are already rending their clothes and gnashing their teeth as Libby's team rushes to file an appeal.
A new hire for Libby, Lawrence Robbins, had Reggies hackles up early on.
When Judge Walton observed that Supreme Wingnut, Judge Scalia had written a stance on a previous case that Robbins was arguing about, Robbins told the Judge it didn't matter what Scalia had written, as he had been present when he did it.
Smackdown coming your way pal.
I am now watching for the spin to come out of the MSM and am particularly waiting to hear what that Harpy bitch Vickie Toensig has to say.
Needless to say, the WAPO has to come out with some kind of wingnut reaction., which can only be characterized as, Insanity on Parade.
We'll see if Scooter actually does any time, The Pardon is still being screamed for by the Right.
But today, Justice came out swinging.

I'm Still In Shock

I have to admit it, stunned.
I have been making comments on Blogs for a couple of years now,I surf around quite a bit but have a few favorites. One of those is on my very own Blogroll. Heh, the Owner of the site didn't know I even had a Blog, let alone his site was on it. That would be Fixer at Alternate Brain.
I highly recommend you pop in and check it out.

Back to the topic here, I have been invited to post at one of his other sites, Fixer and Gordon.

I can only hope to strive and come close to the excellent stuff that he and Gordon put up there.
I get a real kick out of Gordon and Fixer is The Man.He is another Ford fanatic and I can't wait to get to know both of these guys better.
It will be mostly car and bike stuff there and my usual grouching here. Please drop by .

And Now, Something Completely Different

If you have been here more than once , You know I tend to go off on the criminals that are our current administration.
While I feel it is a very worthy topic, this one will be a fluff piece.
Yesterday I got to go to Portland International Raceway and watch the big boys play.
I scored 6 tickets with Hospitality and Pit passes from my brother, who at the last minute, decided not to go.After burning up the phone lines for just a few minutes I had the tickets alloted to some friends and off we went.
It was supposed to rain (surprise) but we got lucky and it Hop Scotched right over us and a racing they went.It had been about 5 years since I had went so I had forgotten just how loud those little cars got.Sitting on the back stretch, I couldn't hear my buddy sitting next to me, even though the cars were over 100 feet away.
Some old cops pulled up on their ATV' and thats when I knew we had a good spot.
I wandered over and said as much to one and caught him using a radar gun as they went by.
165 MPH before getting out of it and on the brakes.
It got a little hairy when one guy pulled to the outside to pass coming onto the back straight and got a wheel off into the dirt but other than that the race was pretty uneventful.
We all had a blast and ate way too much awesome food. $6 dollar beers and $4 dollar cokes are starting to get steep for this cheapskate, so I pulled my usual and snuck in a flask.
The winner was Sebastien Bourdais with a time of 1:45.42, a full 13 seconds over second place, J Wilson.

Hopefully they will be back next year.

Libby Dodges a Bullet (Literally)

Scooter Libby found out he is not above the law yesterday.
Judge Reggie Walton sentenced him to 30 months in prison, a 250,000 dollar fine, 2 years of probation and 400 hours of community service.
All fine and dandy.
Crack dealers get more time in prison than treasonous bastards these days.
So far, Cheney's role in betraying Valerie Wilsons covert identity has gone unpunished.
But it has not gone unnoticed, Patrick Fitzgerald said that "there is a cloud over the Vice President.".
I am not gloating over Scooters predicament, I really wish that he had come clean about the whole thing so that there could be some accountability for this terrible deed.
There was some last minute details about the sentencing guidelines that have to be straightened out, it will not affect the total amount of prison time Scooter will have to serve.
Apparently the judge is going to rule out bail and Scooter will start serving his sentence in 45-60 days.
In the mean time, the Wilsons have a civil suit pending that has been bubbling in the background and Valerie has been wrangling with the CIA so she can get her book published.
I wish all the best to the Wilsons, they are the epitome of patriotic Americans. They certainly did not deserve to be set upon by the jackals in the Whitehouse and put through the wringer with the full force of our government. Especially for speaking truth to power.
