Yeah, me, as in caught. The cat is out of the bag, after I thought I dropped it off far enough away nobody would see it again.

Right after the first of the year I got a wild hair up my ass and started experimenting with starting a move to Wordpress as a platform.

Oh what a mistake!
That thing has more bells and whistles than a competition version of the 747 Jumbo Jet!

My second birthday is coming up here and I all too well remember what a complete noobie I was when it came to knowing the first fucking thing about Blogging.

Lets just be polite here and say I have come a long way since then.
I do believe in trying to move to Wordpress I highlighted my lack of knowledge about writing code and building websites with the light of a thousand suns.

I would have deleted my attempt and completely hidden my failures except I knew damn good and well if I did that and tried to restart it new again I would have been denied the use of the name Ornery Bastard because it had already been used as a Wordpress website, so I just abandoned it and forgot all about it.
Not Teh Google though, it doesn't forget. And if you Google Ornery Bastard, you will find that the Wordpress site comes up way before this place, as I learned earlier, the hard way.
But good old Skippy found it, and he linked to it!
Someday I am hoping to have the good fortune to shake that mans hand.
In the mean time, I have some poop to get into one big pile, I am still unsure what I am going to do here.I can't get my widgets to work on Wordpress but I really like the look. A dilemma to be dealt with still.

    Dude, Wordpress fucking rocks!

I don't know about the back-end, since I've only ever been on Wordpress, but from the standpoint of a reader and commenter, Wordpress blogs are a lot more user-friendly.

  2. Two days ago started a site to be used for a specific purpose for a short period of time using word press. It seems awkward but is new. Text and a few pictures is all it will be. E-Blogger is easy and quick. Quicker than I can type that's for damn sure. We could figure it out Busted given a bit of time. Why did you want to change and how would people be directed to the new address?

  3. I wanted to swap over because they have more flexible templates, for example, a three column template, which is what I originally wanted.
I was toying with the idea of putting up advertising for a brief instant and the Blogger template is very quickly overwhelmed if you add advertising to it.
I really didn't want the advertising that much, I do this for my own reasons and fuck the money, I was curious to see what would come of it as to affecting the website itself.
There is a site that I hang out at that put up advertising and in my personal opinion, it is kind of obnoxious the way the advertising seems to dominate the front page of the site and you kind of have to really concentrate on ignoring it.
Wordpress has a lot more features than Blogger but thats what stymied me, I don't know HTML code and you have to know that pretty much to add things to the site. It was more curiosity on my part to see just how much I have learned about Blogging and computers and to see if I was up to the challenge than anything else.
As for how people would find it, thats easy. That website is already is the #1 search result for Ornery Bastard at Google and all I would have to do is leave a message at the top of the current site saying I had moved and leave a link.
Don't worry, I ain't going anywhere without ya.I just have to send ya another invite.
I just haven't made up my mind to switch yet.I kind of shot myself in the foot here and don't quite know what to do except I think I am just delaying the inevitable now that the cat is out of the bag.
