Bush Anoints Himself as the Insurer of Constitutional Government in Emergency

With scarcely a mention in the mainstream media, President Bush has ordered up a plan for responding to a catastrophic attack.

In a new National Security Presidential Directive, Bush lays out his plans for dealing with a “catastrophic emergency.”

Under that plan, he entrusts himself with leading the entire federal government, not just the Executive Branch. And he gives himself the responsibility “for ensuring constitutional government.”

He laid this all out in a document entitled “National Security Presidential Directive/NSPD 51” and “Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSPD-20.”

The White House released it on May 9.

This is the guy who can't figure out how to get out of a room let alone run anything like, say, a FUCKING GOVERNMENT!

I feel like I am in a never ending nightmare, feverishly waking for a mere second, only to recede back into the darkest, most twisted, visions of murderous clowns telling me that never mind what came before, it's only gonna get better, baby.
Who can keep up with this bunch?
While we are fighting scandal fatigue, (179 and counting) finding out what little pranks they have already pulled, they are out in front with completely new, outrageous shit.
2008 can't get here soon enough.
