Another Reason Anthony Scalia Should Be Impeached And Thrown Into The Street.

After three days of testimony in the Obama Health Care debate in front of the Supreme court, who are not expected to deliver an official decision until NEXT JUNE, This quote just came out of the mouth of one of the worst Supreme Court Justices in modern history;
JUSTICE SCALIA: Mr. Kneedler, what happened to the Eighth Amendment? You really want us to go through these 2,700 pages? (Laughter.) And do you really expect the Court to do that? Or do you expect us to — to give this function to our law clerks? Is this not totally unrealistic? That we are going to go through this enormous bill item by item and decide each one?

My emphasis.

Why yes, you fucking asshole, by June, that is exactly what I expect you to do.
It used to be called Homework, you sonofabitch.

By the way, his invoking the eighth amendment must be some kind of insider asshole Supreme Court joke;

What is the 8th Amendment?

Answer

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

My bold.

Funny guy this Corporate fucking whore.

Yeah dude, I DO expect you or one of your Paralegals to read, parse and interpret EVERY SINGLE FUCKING WORD of those 2700 pages of bullshit those fuckers in Congress voted on,after adding bullshit amendments to it, then sending it to The Presidents desk to be passed into law, IT IS YOUR FUCKING JOB!!

After all, now that corporations are people too, according to you and campaign money is unlimited, you should have plenty of leisure time to sit on your fat fucking ass and do a little recreational reading so you can, you know, make an informed decision on medical care that is going to affect every fucking American Citizen for the rest of their lives.

You arrogant fucking pig.

Do us all a favor and choke to death on a fucking meat ball.

Empathy, Look It Up

I have seen several people having to deal with end of life issues lately.
They Blog about it, they tell ya about it, all the horrible shit that goes on, and I can absolutely identify.

Someone once said, the only things that are guaranteed in life are death and taxes.
What that smart assed motherfucker forgot to mention was the thousands of fucking ways one can suffer before they finally say "Fuck It" and decide they have had enough and just let go, if they even get that choice.

I am not talking about the thousands of people who don't have that choice, the ones who get broad sided at an intersection or suddenly trip and fall over in the bath tub, have some asshole drop a bomb on their wedding party or decides that carpet bombing an entire county in some fucking foreign country will instantly take care of their immediate problems,

Not the ones who get hit by lightning, the ones who know it is coming.

The cancer patients, the little kids who have leukemia or the poor kids in third world countries that fucking die from malnutrition or diarhhea because the cows shit in their drinking water.

The ones when you are dead and there is no warning.

I am damn lucky to be alive because I have tempted fate many times.
Hey, Fate got in a few licks, believe me, I still walk with a limp.

My Granny fell down last night trying to get to the bathroom.
They think she had a stroke and is in the hospital, she is 96 and I don't doubt that for a minute, she has had several " Mini Strokes" already.

She is in good spirits and I helped to make her eat something and gave her a bit of dessert after I got off work. Airplane food sucks ass, these people have some grub goin' on!
Her eye sight is in question but I know she still has a sense of humor because when I kissed her goodnight, I told her she could have some more dessert after I left and she was laughing as I went out the door.
Hell, I am more worried about my Mother. My Mom has been there to the point of exhaustion and I have some damn fine relatives that have been helping and spreading the word. It's called Family.
Proud of 'em.

Ya never fucking know when bad shit is going to strike like lightning, live your life accordingly, I always have.

Health Care Reform: The Morning After

Many politicians and pundits warned us that the health care reform (HCR) legislation that just became law will destroy America. Government bureaucrats will take over health care decisions, we were told. The old and infirm would be hauled away by death panels. Everything about the way we receive our medical care will change, and change drastically, they said.

Medicare recipients have been frightened by stories that their benefits will be cut. Middle-age people are worried they will lose their jobs when the law’s dreaded regulations, or taxes, or maybe regulations with taxes, would destroy their employers’ businesses.

The truth is, very little will change for most people. If you were insured by employee benefits before HCR, you will be insured by exactly the same policy in exactly the same way after HCR. You will have access to the same doctors on the same terms. “Government bureaucrats” will no more be involved in your health care than they were before.

And the same is true of Medicare, which of course is a government program, although many of the people who opposed the HCR bill don’t seem to know that.

Here are the “cataclysmic” changes to health care that are now in effect, or which will go into effect within the next six months for people who are already in group insurance plans:

* The law says you can’t lose your insurance coverage because you get sick. Before, in many states, if you were stricken with a severe illness such as mesothelioma cancer that would be expensive to treat, your insurer could use just about any excuse to cancel your coverage. That is over.

* HCR has ended lifetime limits on coverage. As long as you are receiving medical care, your insurer pays the bills.

* Your children can be covered on your existing policy until they are 26 years old.

* In six months, insurers cannot refuse to insure people under the age of 19 because of “pre-existing conditions.” This provision will go into effect for everyone in 2014.

And if you are on Medicare, you will be asked to struggle with the following:

* You get a free annual checkup.

* The co-pays and deductibles on many preventive care services are eliminated.

* If you are in the Medicare D “doughnut hole,” you will get a $250 rebate check in a few weeks. The hole itself will be closed gradually and will be gone by 2020.

But what about all those terrible regulations and taxes that are about to drive businesses out of business? Um, there really isn’t much to report. Oh, wait, here’s one — a 10 percent tax on indoor tanning services that use ultraviolet lamps will go into effect July 1. That’s about it.

However, beginning this year a tax credit will be available for some small businesses to help provide insurance coverage for employees.

Soon the politicians and pundits will start trying to frighten you about the provisions that will go into effect after this year. I assure you they are about as scary as the provisions that go into effect this year, but I will discuss them in a follow-up post.
