Fuck 'Em All

After watching what has happened to the Health Care debate lately, I feel as though I have been watching a ping pong match between two meth crazed weasels.
I have come to the conclusion that even if it passes, it will ultimately be ruled as Unconstitutional on the basis it is taxation without representation.
As it currently stands, anyone who does not have insurance will be forced to purchase insurance or be fined by the Federal government, even as said insurance assholes can still deny coverage and put limits on the amount covered.

I call Bullshit right there.

Anything that is mandated by the Federal government and can still be denied by a private company is a tax without representation.
Fuck that shit.

I am completely disgusted with the Democratic party, the President and especially Joe Fucking Lieberman and the Republicans.

I have been pissed off at the Democrats for some time now and have come to the conclusion that they do not, in fact, represent my beliefs after all.
I do believe I have had plenty enough of the Kabuki theater that passes for governance in this country and am going to register as an Independent and I am not so sure that I will just quit voting for anything other than local offices from now until the day I fucking die.
This is certainly not representative government, I only need to point to the Bail out of Wall Street that ninety nine percent of the population was against and Congress bailed the dirty sonsabitches out with our money anyway to make my point.

The same damn thing is going on right now with the Health care issue.
Seventy percent of Americans, a clear majority, support a Public Option and that went bye bye.
Then the Medicare option was single handedly killed by Joe Lieberman.

Whatever abortion of a bill finally comes out of Congress at this point is going to be a financial disaster for many Americans, especially if it is signed into law requiring any uninsured individual HAS to buy insurance, from an industry that is exempt from anti monopoly laws and ,can and will, raise premiums at will.

No, that is not representative government, that is theft.

  2. BK, I got your back on this one.

Over at Alt. Brain, I lamented that the President has conceded this battle to the corporations.

The Democratic Party has become the Washington Generals, always showing up to the game, making a couple of points and passing the ball but at the final bell go home losers. We aren't supposed to beat the Globetrotters.

It's hard to say this but we seem to be a similar boat as the Teabaggers. Abandoned by their party because they threaten the status quo.

Now I have a bad taste in my mouth, have to gargle with bleach.

  4. May I add, that tonight, on Olberman, at MSNBC, he spent a Special Comment of 11 minutes plus, half, on Obama.

And in that half, Mr. Olberman ended up asking all his viewers to NOT buy the mandated insurance, should the Senate version pass.

Lemme 'splain this again, for those of you who are slow.

Keith, Fuckin Olberman, advocated mass civil disobediance, on his show, tonight, should a mandate to buy healthcare insurence pass the Congress or the President.

I'm stunned, delirious, and happy and delighted he did so.

You whacko's out there, go look this up and see if it don't bring you in a bit closer to me.

Civil Disobedience. Don't Pay For Mandated Insurance!

    Keith Fucking Olberman.

    I'm home, again. ''

  5. Puddy: We may need a third (and a 4th, I'd say) party, but Green is not one of them. Green is a joke. Create a party that builds from the ground up and that actually stands for something and then I'll vote for them. But to trot Ralph Nader out every 4 years as the Messiah isn't going to turn even THIS disgusted and disillusioned Democratic voter in their direction.

I think Mr. Brilliant was right at this point: "Don't vote, it only encourages them." Yes, the wingnuts will always vote. But with the Democrats always doing their bidding, what's the difference?

Whoa people let's all get a grip here. I've heard most of ya all's opines and find that patience is sadly lacking. While I understand that as demo's we've been assfucked for a long time. I also know that it takes allot of horse trading to get shit done. See the 60's voter rights, medicare, fair work practices so on and so forth. I also know that the peoples house will never ever let this POS of a bill out of conference without some major changes to the existing senate bill. With that said my current outrage is the spineless dems thinking they need 60 votes to pass legislation. WTF is the vice pres for in the senate. Also the fact that the bill to buy prescription drugs from canada at a bargain price got voted down. Fucking very disappointed.

  7. We need a third party but, like Jill said, it has to grow from the grassroots. It has to be a movement. The Teabaggers, as much as it pains me to say this, is going about it the right way. Unfortunately for them (and fortunate for us) they're a bunch of lunatics and conspiracy nuts.

But our movement will have to be progressive and from all parts of the country. In other words, herding cats. So we are left with the Democratic Bullshit Party.

Like having a lousy rich uncle that pukes on your carpet every time he visits but you tolerate it because he gets you out of a jam once is a while.

This fight isn't over, not by a long shot. I'm still going to vote. When I put on the uniform in defense of this country, I took an oath to support and defend it. That means I cast my vote regardless. To not vote is to spit on the grave of those who fought to give me that right. I'm going to support progressive candidates, especially primary ones.

By not voting, I'm handing the Teabaggers and their goons a victory. Fuck 'em. I may be a little leaguer showing up to play the Yankees but, goddamn it, I'm going to show up anyway.

    Fuck Joe Lieberman.

  8. Sign me up.

    I'm all in too.

Granted it takes a lot of compromising to find common ground, but it has gotten so ridiculous under Obama's leadership that it no longer qualifies as such.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm shortly going to be acquiring a shopping cart to load a few precious objects in and start living on the street. I reject everything this country currently represents and refuse to participate any further.
