Man, that looks like a blast and a half! In Bavaria on New Year's Day, in the small town we lived in, they used to impress me with rides down the "home mountain" on huge logging sleds "Schnabler-rennin"..several (*usually drunk) men per sled. It was crazy insane...but hey, this sets a whole new standard!
Ever been to Mt Washington? When they were building the cog railway to the summit in the 1860s, the workers made skateboards to get back to the bottom faster.
"Common times for the descent of the mountain using these boards were about 15 minutes. The record was 2:45, an average speed above 100 km/h (62 mph)."
Oh. It's the same thing Gordon posted. Well, check it out again. I've watched a bunch of clips of those guys and I just can't get over it. I get that rollercoaster feeling in my stomach just watching it.
