Radio studio production software for making commericals and promo's was growing huge back in the late 90's when I was in the biz.
Some of it I recognized from earlier days in the biz, recording equipment tricks for music, etc.
In the past two years I fell into a whole circle of pickers/musicians here in Sacto.
Many of them work paying gigs every week, have their own studio stuff at home, and work day jobs.
The shit they are doing is insane. All from a computer . . . then they just sing and dub in what instruments they play for that human feel.
There are primarily two software products that just dominate the entire market of amateur and professional studios. Used to be dozens back in late 90's.
The vid you show, is incredible.
It reveals in full glory, what audio production software is all about, and in that case, how grandly it can be used on new fangled portable devices.
Anyone can be a musician, an arranger, producer, etc. Anyone.
There are no limits.
Me? I'm still trying to learn how to play music with my hands and voice. This technology boggles me, frustrates me, and frankly, is a distraction as far as I'M concerned . . .
Gimme instruments, humans, hands, voices, and talent.
Harumph.
;-)
Great vid hoss . . . hell of a topic to consider . . .

Great pickin n sangin.
You can't beat Jhn Duffey on lead and Charlie Waller doing backup. Heh, it was Charlie's Band!
Two of the best blue/new grass tenors of all time . . . Charlie Waller and John Duffey.
Sigh.
I picked with about 10 folks tonight for 4 hours. I still got buzz.
*G* Life is good!
Nicely done . My GF told me to shut it off, I told ya she is a Winger. I liked it.
