The Dark Lord and his minions for eternal war are hooking up in Salt Lake City this week to perform their dread rituals and plan for war with Iran.
A super secret bunch of neocons and captains of industry who pay thousands of dollars a year to be part of a conservative think tank called the National Center for Public Policy are having a super secret meeting. So secretive is this bunch ,they have been instructed not to even mention the name of the group in public.
Nice, huh?
These are the motherefuckers that mapped out the war in Iraq and are now jizzing all over themselves dreaming of war with Iran.
I am assuming this is what this convention is for, they won't comment of course. Blood oaths and all that shit, don't ya know.

Cheney to address secret group

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney will speak to a super-secret, conservative policy group in Utah on Friday during his second trip to the state this year.
Cheney will address the fall meeting of the Council for National Policy, a group whose self-described mission is to promote "a free-enterprise system, a strong national defense and support for traditional Western values."
The organization - made up of few hundred powerful conservative activists - holds confidential meetings and members are advised not to use the name of the group in communications, according to a New York Times profile of the group.
"The media should not know when or where we meet or who takes part in our programs, before [or] after a meeting,'' a list of rules obtained by The Times showed. The group did not respond to an e-mail seeking comment.

Bush Holds Fundraiser For Move-On

In a swift move that backfired in his face like a gag cigar, Stupie McFuckwit went after the MoveOn ad attacking General Betrayus. Predictably soon after, the Righttards in the Senate called a vote to suppress free speech for all Americans by censuring the Progressive institution over its ad.As we have seen so many times before, many spineless so called Democrats actually voted for this piece of shit. My message to these ass drippings is to get fucked with a barbed wire dildo and start looking for a new job.
After Bush and the Senate took turns with their cheap shots a truly amazing and beautiful thing started happening, Move-On started getting emails, lots and lots of emails.
They all had the same basic message too, Keep It Up, and here is some dough.

Even in humdrum nonpolitical decisions, liberals and conservatives literally think differently, researchers show.

Exploring the neurobiology of politics, scientists have found that liberals tolerate ambiguity and conflict better than conservatives because of how their brains work.

In a simple experiment reported todayin the journal Nature Neuroscience, scientists at New York University and UCLA show that political orientation is related to differences in how the brain processes information.

Previous psychological studies have found that conservatives tend to be more structured and persistent in their judgments whereas liberals are more open to new experiences. The latest study found those traits are not confined to political situations but also influence everyday decisions.

The results show "there are two cognitive styles -- a liberal style and a conservative style," said UCLA neurologist Dr. Marco Iacoboni, who was not connected to the latest research.

Participants were college students whose politics ranged from "very liberal" to "very conservative." They were instructed to tap a keyboard when an M appeared on a computer monitor and to refrain from tapping when they saw a W.

M appeared four times more frequently than W, conditioning participants to press a key in knee-jerk fashion whenever they saw a letter.

Each participant was wired to an electroencephalograph that recorded activity in the anterior cingulate cortex, the part of the brain that detects conflicts between a habitual tendency (pressing a key) and a more appropriate response (not pressing the key). Liberals had more brain activity and made fewer mistakes than conservatives when they saw a W, researchers said. Liberals and conservatives were equally accurate in recognizing M.

Researchers got the same results when they repeated the experiment in reverse, asking another set of participants to tap when a W appeared.

Frank J. Sulloway, a researcher at UC Berkeley's Institute of Personality and Social Research who was not connected to the study, said the results "provided an elegant demonstration that individual differences on a conservative-liberal dimension are strongly related to brain activity."

Analyzing the data, Sulloway said liberals were 4.9 times as likely as conservatives to show activity in the brain circuits that deal with conflicts, and 2.2 times as likely to score in the top half of the distribution for accuracy.

Today, U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero struck down part of the revised Patriot Act, ruling that investigators must obtain a court’s approval before the order Internet providers to turn over records without telling customers. Marrero said the “recently rewritten Patriot Act ‘offends the fundamental constitutional principles of checks and balances and separation of powers.’”

High school student criticizes McCain on gay marriage.

This morning, a high school student challenged Sen. John McCain about his age, causing McCain to jokingly refer to the student as “a little jerk.” The troubles for McCain didn’t end there. Another student pressed him with regards to his stance on gay marriage. Here’s the exchange:

Student: “Do you support civil unions or gay marriage?”

McCain: “I do not. I think that they impinge on the status and the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.”

Student: “So you believe in taking away someone’s rights because you believe it’s wrong?”

McCain: “I wouldn’t put that interpretation on my position, but I understand yours.” […]

Student: “I came here looking to see a leader. I don’t.”
