Bigger than shit it is in a station in Michigan right now.
It wasn't that long ago it was $5 a gallon around these parts, couple of years ago I think.
Of course it's nowhere near that low around here, I think I paid $2.59 for Regular the other day.
Still, if it can get that low somewhere else it the country then it damn well should start dropping around here, eventually.
FWIW: I heard there was a gas war there. The normal price in Michigan now is about $1.55 regular, maybe $2 diesel. I occasionally post prices on e85prices.com, this morning the cheap station was at $1.05 for E85.
ReplyDeleteEven more amazing is factoring in inflation since gas was this low. I remember paying 79 cents per gallon in Fall 1999 (filling a few 5 gallon cans for Y2K). I think the current price would be very close to that, after inflation adjustments.
